“We are very proud to announce the new brand for Westfield School which we feel now truly reflects the vibrancy and energy that our school provides its pupils. ”

Over the past eight months we have developed this new ‘brand’ or ‘identity’ to meet a number of objectives for Westfield School. Firstly, we are committed to the success of our young people and we believe that a major part of this success is ensuring they can learn within a vibrant, exciting, challenging, and creative environment. Secondly, we need to ensure that all stakeholders understand our values, and that parents and the local community know what we stand for. It’s also important that we stand out from the crowd, and that we can communicate our strengths to this wider community to assist with our growth and development as a school.

Whilst many of these challenges are addressed in the day to day running of the school and by the dedication of our staff, we also identified that Westfield School needed a new, modern brand to help us with all these objectives.

With the help of a local company we were able to involve the young people throughout the project; from the initial presentation of ideas, right the way through to production of their own yearbooks -  to create a style that works wonderfully throughout our printed materials, on our website and even as you walk down our corridors.

Within the education community we recognise that in today’s world a continuous thread must run through education, training and employment for our young people to have the best opportunities available to them. We are always looking to create close links with local businesses and to this end we worked with a company with considerable experience of the involvement of young people in such projects.

Their efforts really helped, allowing us to understand an area that was quite new to us and their open and clear approach made the process easy and fun to do.

Because in the end that’s what we all believe in; actually making learning enjoyable and making the school environment a fun place in which to work, while all striving towards the same goals. 

We have what we now believe is a truly outstanding brand which will help us meet these objectives, and contribute to our success for years to come.
